Terms of use

Last updated 1 August 2026.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by LINESURGE Academy LLC, 244 SE Ash Street, Studio 5, Portland, Oregon 97214, United States. Using the site or enrolling in a class means you accept these terms.

2. Your licence to the material

Enrolment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch the class videos and download the written material for your own learning. You may not re-upload, resell, share your login, or use the material to teach a paid class of your own.

3. Your work

Everything you draw remains your copyright, including work made from our assignment briefs. You may use it commercially and in your portfolio without asking us.

4. Conduct in critique

Critique sessions are recorded and shared with the cohort. Harassment, tracing another student's submission, or submitting work you did not draw results in removal without refund.

5. Payment

Fees are charged in US dollars at the point of purchase. Prices shown exclude any local sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout where applicable.

6. Refunds and transfers

The refund terms on the admissions page form part of this agreement. Where those terms and this section disagree, the admissions page wins, because it is the one students actually read.

7. Changes to classes

Instructors work in production and schedules move. We may reschedule a live block with at least ten days' notice, in which case you may transfer or take a full refund. Recorded modules may be re-recorded or expanded; your access covers the updated version at no extra cost.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the class library available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced in advance by email.

9. Limitation of liability

We are liable for what the law does not let us exclude. Beyond that, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We do not promise employment, income or any particular career result.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
